Proxy Server Authentication!

Hey there Carlos...

Must say. This a really cool program you have here. And it just gets better with each build. Now I have a feature request.

I connect to the net throught a proxy server (HTTP) which requires authentication. Now CD Art Display can't download covers cuz it doesnt support proxy servers. Can you get in support for proxy servers + authentication?

I should mention that at present when I try to manually search for covers, the program crashes with a runtime error code. :)
(I'm using RC4 Build 914)

1) Proxy: it's not a simple task; I'll see what I can do after 1.0 final.

2) error: please give me more details about it: screenshot; your player; manual search (right click or case/cover double clikc); your download settings (Control Panel>Download).

I assume it's crashing because it's trying to connect to amazon, but the proxy won't let it.

I was not able to reproduce the error.

Please, send me your "settings.ini" file (usually in "C:\Program Files\CD Art Display\" folder).

In addition, as soon as possible I'll add a better error handler to the search module.

Well i finished the error handler. Please test this build:

In addiiton, check how you set to CAD save a downloaded cover ("Control Panel>Download).

Finally, it can be a proxy issue as noroom said.

I've tried your latest RC5 release and the proxy problem still remains. Only this time i get a different error. Here's the screenshot.

Might I add that if I use a connection which is not behind a proxy, there is no problems at all.
My download settings are as follows

1. Download cover automatically from amazon.com
2. Save cover to '%coverfolder%%artist% - %album%.jpg'

Its not the problem of proxy not allowing access to amazon.com because the site is accessible from a brower and programs such as Album Art Downloader without any problems.

For some reason CAD is not receiving the results.

I've tested CAD in a PC with a proxy and all went fine.

I really don't know why CAD is not downloading through your proxy.

Well are you testing on a proxy server that need authentication or just a plain proxy? Because I have to log in with credentials to the proxy server

I'm not sure about this detail. The proxy configuration is via script. I'll try to find more info about it.
