I was really surprised, when I received my daily newsletter of one of the greatest german computer sites and noticed that they offer CAD for download! :)
Never saw it there since now: download location on Chip.de (http://www.chip.de/downloads/CD-Art-Display_26417470.html)
It has reached more than 32.000 downloads at the moment. :D

Does Chip has a physical magazine? I remember that some years ago one Germany magazine asked for permission to include CAD in their CD.

Yes it has.
It's one of the most selling PC-magazines in Germany. :)
