iSome skin help

Sorry if I'm necroing this thread.

I'm wondering how to get rid of the shine on the cover that goes arcoss the centre of the image. I'm also having a problem where when it changes songs the cover art and information dont't update to the next song and to make it change I need to either go Cover\Reload or change the skin.

I've been using the iSome skin and wondering how to get rid of the shine on the cover that goes across the center of the image.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there.

To get rid of that nice shine, simple open up iSome's skin folder (for example E:\Programme\CD Art Display 2.0\Skins\iSome)
and delete or rename "overlay.png". After that, you need to reload the skin.

I really like that skin but i have a problem with the latest cd art display version. I dont see any text. The cover art is ok as the progress bar but no text at all.
It works fine with other skins.
Any idea?

Exactly same problem here. I see the actual box where the cover is displayed, but no text. The Myriad Web.ttf that came with the font is the inside the Skins folder, exactly as it was in the .rar of the skin itself. I also tried copying the font file inside the skin directory, didnt't help. AND I tried installing the font into the system, again no result.

Any suggestion? :)

Delete the overlay.png in the skin's folder. That should do it.

That shouldn't be a CAD problem. Try putting the font into a folder called "Fonts" inside the skin's folder. Then restart CAD and reload the skin.

Sorry for reviving this very old thread but I had the same problem (everything works fine except there's no text at all) with a skin I downloaded today. I put the font in a "Fonts" subfolder as you suggested and now the text is where it's supposed to be. Thank you! :-)

No need for excuses. :) That's what the threads are for.
Good if it works for you. I assume the font is installed in your Operating System?
That's necessary too.
The font display error occurs mostly, when the creator of the skin didn't put the needed fonts in the proper folder, or didn't offer it at all.
