oh wow!
to me this is your best skin so far and i just fell in love immediately with the "Abyss" substyle.
perfect.

well, it wouldn't be me if i wouldn't give this skin one of my wellknown and picky explorations. :)

here's what i've noticed:

- what first comes to recognition (on all styles) is that the time display (textline4) is configured a bit too slim as some digits get cut off on the right. might be that i again use a different version of the "Calibri" fonts here, but if you'd increase the textline area width to about 70 everything should look fine again.

- also i've noticed that the panels are not quite centered underneath their according case.png graphics.
at least the three textlines on that panel gave reason to believe that they're not in line with the "play" button.
perhaps you can fix that.

- certainly a matter of taste is the lyrics panel and the first line of the lyrics being overlayed by that certain bar-like-thingy there. personally i think that this looks kinda odd and not like it should be.
like the skinner has forgotten something, you know. :confused:

what i really really like is the cool variations in your substyles.
each one is highly original and a real beauty to look at.
besides, all parts of the skin are created flawlessly.
skin, notifier and lyrics viewer are always a perfect match.

and how wonderful you designed the flag-like "prev" & "next" buttons.
in that "Abyss" substyle they're perfect in terms of their transparency and add even more depth to your masterpiece.
not to forget about the gorgeous mouseover effects on those toolbar buttons.
ratings, progress- and volumebar, the nocovers, ... well just about everything fits together really great.

if at all, i could only complain about the text appearances.
at my idea they're a bit too "separated" on the main panel (too much space between the lines) and sometimes hard to read because of their intensive glow setting or because of the background underneath.
i don't know how to discribe it better, but to me the text doesn't "integrate" to your skin very well.

for the text in that "Abyss" substyle it may be a good idea to configure a similar appearance to the extremely cool looking textline4 and its indented impression.
well, just an idea.

anyways....
...it's such a cool skin and i don't say too much if i admit that for the next days (or even weeks) to come i'm actually going to use a different skin than one of my own ones. :D

Sorry, mate! In my opinion they look good. So the Panel does. Maybe you can give me some values, so I could check the positions. Maybe the Play buton is not 100% correct in it's position. :(

I decided to make a wiiide scrollbutton, which act and behaves like a bar over the lyrics.
So if i scroll down by grabbing it or using the mousewheel, the bar wanders over the lyrics.
It's NOT static, and I didn't forget something... ;)

Hmm... The sad thing is: you may be right. Especially the text settings were a hard thing to do this time.
I thought it would be good as it is. But there's allways room for improvement. I'll check the text settings on every style tomorrow and will do an update then or on Wednesday.


In the end I'm glad you took a deeper look at this one. It was a difficult one, this time. And when you are working on it day by day, you may loose fokus and overview.
And I'm glad... no: I'm very happy (*dancing on my desk*), because you like this baby! :D
