The read Cover Funktion refers only to Stored data, correct?

It would be to me more with pleasure if he searches for performer and title at Amazon.com, instead of performer and album.

The search cover feature gets the artist and album tag (if mp3) in order to download.
As far as I know title will not bring you any good results in searching.

However, in a manual search or with prompt you can always interact with what CAD is searching (e.g. deleting the album information).

In order to download using just "Artist" tag (Performer) go to "Control Panel>Download" and check "Query just for Artist...":
