As title, most of my mp3s are ok, but CDAD doesn't work on some of them. I don't why. I've read the help file, and I've tried these on the mp3.

1. remove all id3
2. rewrite all id3 in English
3. change filename into English
4. put the troubling mp3 in other folder with mp3s which work fine. Other mp3s work well, but the one still doesn't.
(all above with English filename picture)

What's the problem? Does this happen to anyone ever? Thank you if somebody can help.

My system:
xp home sp2 (traditional chinese)
p4 2.4g
768 ram
radeon 9550

Send me one of the troubling mp3 so I can test it.

I use the freeware mp3Tag and never had a problem.

Thank you for the file.

The song worked here.

I copied the song into a folder with a cover (folder.jpg) and CAD showed both mp3 information (title, artist) and the cover.

Just remember that the file should be in a folder without Japanese words, e.g.: C:\My Songs\Tokio\Sorafune.mp3

As you already know CAD does not have full Unicode support.

In addition, make sure to use the last CAD RC5 build that you can always find in the forum.

By the way, are you using Winamp?

Carlos. Thank you.

I use RC5 and the latest winamp lite.

I've tried for a while again, and I found it's possibly about id3 tag.

1. The tag that is read at the soonest can't be Chinese or Japanese characters. It has to be English.

2. If you have boht id3 v1 and v2, then v1 doesn't have to be English. v2 will be read first.

3. mp3's filename works well with Chinese. But picture's filename has to be English. Path with Chinese characters is fine for both mp3 and picture.

This morning(my time zone), I probably forgot to change something, so it didn't work. Sorry about that, and thanks for helping. :D
