Hi guys. Found this program yesterday. Looks great and seems to function great. But in vista rc2 clicking control panel does nothing. So I have the default look yellow with the text on the right. I was wondering since this is probably a compatiblity issue that isnt easily fixed. Wether you can set it up manually using the settings ini. So the text was white and directly below the album art. Thanks in advance.

It seems that CAD works in Vista.
Did you try CAD RC5 full setup?
Did you install Visual Basic runtime SP6?
Some users in this forum may help you.
CAD for Vista will be done as soon as Vista is released.

Yeah I read it did, maybe rc2 broke it or something. I did the full install then copied the latest build over and got the runtimes but still nothing. Does the ini file control how the player looks? Cause if i could just add a few lines in thier would be great lol.

I have RC2 x64 and it works fine (works also on my other computer with RC2 x86). Is the Transition effect activated? (you can access the control panel from the system tray unless you have selected show icon as cover, if it's the case you'll have to edit the .ini to disable it). If you disable the Transition effect and the option to show cover as icon in the system tray, it should work.

Well the the system tray icon shows the cover so im guessing its enabled. What are the two variables I need to set in the ini to disable them? Cheers
edit: Well ive got it looking how I want by editing the skin.ini file lol. Just compared all the skins and found out how it worked. I would still like access to the control panel though if you could help lol.

Make sure these two are in your settings.ini file
FadeIn=(None)
CoverIcon=0

Jorell, just so you know, saying "x64" to refer to the 64-bit version of Vista is wrong. 64-bit processors are still based on the x86 architecture,
So actually, it's x86 32-bit and x86 64-bit. Just clearing it up for you because I used to make the same mistake.

It's not a mistake,
I'm not refering to the architecture but to the .iso

Oh, I see... I guess it was my mistake to assume you meant the architecture type when you said x86. You gotta admit it's pretty confusing though. :P

yep, and MS isn't going to make things any clearer with the multitude of Vista OS versions that'll be available. :?

Anyway when I install Vista, after its release, I'll try to adjust CAD to the new OS.
