View Full Version : Hot Key Errors

After installing Clip Helper and running it for the first time, I got the following message:

Clip Helper
---------------------------
The Next Collection hot key is already used by another application.

Select a new one.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

But this hotkey combination is NOT in use (as far as I can tell).

I went into the Clip Helper Options to change the hot key combination and clicked OK, but I still get the same error no matter what I use as the hot key for "Show next collection".

Clip Helper uses a Windows API to verify and set a system hotkey.

This feature will be reviewed anyway.

But try to close some applications and then try to set a new hotkey.

For now, try build 974:

- Only one instance
- General improvements
- Lots of bugs fixed

I downloaded this new Clip Helper.exe, closed Clip Helper and overwrote the original version of the executable. The new version seems to work, but when I click "Show Clip Helper" from the context menu of the system tray icon, I never see the Clip Helper GUI interface. :-(

Even though I can't see the main Clip Helper interface, the pop-ups work whenever I "copy" something and if I choose "About" from the context menu of the system tray icon I get the following:

---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Any suggestions?

Do you have a second monitor?

Anyway, try this:

1- Close Clip Helper

2- Go to the Clip Helper folder and delete settings.ini

3- Start Clip Helper

Yes, I have a second monitor. But when I rebooted my system the Clip Helper GUI was visible again (I didn't even delete settings.ini!).
