About

CAD works with Vista but you need to allow full control for the user to get it working 100%: right click CAD.exe then "Properties>Security>Edit" and allow full control for users.

Not working

- Pin to desktop (no success in order to pin CAD yet)
- Change WLM DP (I got it working once but then WLM stopped to respond - maybe due COM issues - nothing I can do right now; EDITED: right now - 17Nov06 - it start to work again... But I think all this is due Windows Messenger incompatibility).

Good news!

I've made an installer with the WMP dll.

Now WMP regonizes the plugin and CAD is working with WMP11, tho I still have some tests to do... :)

Sounds great Carlos. When will you make it available for us to try?

OK. Here's the RC6 preview (remember I didn't make all the tests):

It'll overwrite your skins. Backup them if you want to.

WLM DP update isn't working for me with preview version (used to work with previous version RC5 and Windows Messenger installed).

Jorell,

Nothing was changed regarding DP.

For me it's working right now. But some weeks ago it was not.

Here in my system Messenger is set to start with Windows (from Windows Defender):

Startup Value: "C:\PROGRA~1\MESSEN~1\Msmsgs.exe" /background

I also select to use the program and do not notify me again about incompatibility.

I've also changed the entire CAD folder security (allow to all users etc.) settings.

The main problem is that Messenger has some issues with Vista and I don't know why it start working again. :?:

I did all the things you said and it doesn't work... still.

I renamed my RC6 folder and restored the RC5 folder and it works again! heh It's weird :P

I gave it another try since I had to reinstall Windows, now it works and I didn't install Windows Messenger 5.1 (like I used to). Also I'm using Windows Live Messenger 8.1Beta now (Build 8.1.0168_ClientV8.1). 8)
