"Shadow spikes" at letters with sharp angles?

I'm using the default skin with custom case.png, and I'm currently a happy camper.

However, something bugs me. On letters with sharp angles, there are spikes. I'm talking about this:

You can see that there are spikes at the bottom right and top left of the capital "N". This is not breaking whatsoever, because it's hidden on dark backgrounds, but on bright backgrounds it's there, and... well.... quite annoying. You know? Like it stands out and attracts attention while it shouldn't. Is this an expected behavior?

My settings for the shadow are:

Type: Soft
Color: Black (000000)
Opacity: 45
Left : 1
Top : 1
Blur : 1

And for the outline:
Size : 3
Color: Black (000000)
Opacity: 60

Hi Raestloz.
This is definitely caused by the "Outline" settings. Reduce it to "1" or disable it completely, to have a nice font again. :)

Ah... thanks. It does fix the thing. Well, I can't ditch it altogether (or I can't see anything) but 2 seems to do well

I used it in one of my skins intentionally. If you choose a value over 2 or three (dependant of the font you use) it has this effect (which can look pretty cool at some fonts). :)
