I just started using CAD RC4 build 132 and noticed that the rating stars (*****) and progress bar (=====) have moved above the notifier text %title% (00:00) on line one and %artist% on line two. See example below:
Build 123:
*****
=====
%title% (00:00)
%artist%
When using build 63 the rating stars (*****) and progress bar (=====) were below the %title% (00:00) and %artist%. See example below:
Build 63:
%title% (00:00)
%artist%
*****
=====
Is this a defect in this build or a configuration error on my part?

It was a necessary change in build 21.
You have to adjust the pad top for both Fancy Rating and Progress Bar.
See more about here (inlcuding some updated pad top values to make it easier for you):

Next release all skins will be updated.
No big deal but I'd prefer the other way around, i.e.:
- Progress bar: Left click: Rewind
- Progress bar: Right click: Fast foreward
I really love this prog! :D

Thanks again Leif!! :D

There's something wrong with the song or its cover; try to remake the song's tag and check the jpg too (open it and save as... to create a new image).

Of course, once I tell you about it - I play the song again and it works. Gr.

All right then. Maybe it was just a glitch.

Really great Work. I've been looking for such prog for a long time. :D
%year% always shows "unknown" when it's an .flac or an .ape file. Maybe you have an idea why?

%year% = for some reason CAD is not reading year properly. I'll take a look at it as soon as possible.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact it's not ''year'' but ''date''.
also I found this about the tag system, might help (or not) hehe

Very, very minor thing...
I keep CD Art Display on the right hand side of my monitor. Each time I do a cover search, the search window appears on the far left of the monitor (No, it ain't THAT big, but...); I move it to the right under the CD Art Display window hoping it will appear there next time I do a search. But it won't!
Well, I said it was minor, didn't I?

Carlos, if you're going to make the Search window remember the last position, could you do it for the Control Panel too?
And don't forget to check if the window it outside the screen, and move it back next time. Sometimes... Someone will move a window out of the visible area, and then close it. That would be bad if the window appeared in the same position, outside the screen.

Let me first say this program is beautiful. Just what I have been wanting for my Winamp. Desktop looks much better as a result. Good work!
I do have a feature request. I like to keep my album art in the bottom left corner of my screen, with the notifier text at bottom. When the text is at bottom, it automatically centers. I would like the option to justify left or right, along with an option to pad. For long titles, when the text is centered, it spills off of the screen to the left. If I could choose a left justify option, it would then extend to the right, where there is plenty of room. I know that if I choose to have the notifier text set to right, it automatically justifies left, but I have a pseudo-sidebar set up on the left with my widgets and IM client, and I don't want the text to the right because it will be covered by my other running apps in that position. Of course, if the text is justified left, it would also be good to have an option to justify the progress bar left as well, to maintain alignment.
Sorry for such a long description. Thanks again for your work and taking the time to read the forum posts.

c0j0n3z,
You can do that.
Just let the Main position at right or left then use pad top/left to place the text at the bottom. You can use negative values too.

Carlos,
Thanks. Should have thought of that. Works perfectly.

Love this program, just discovered it about 2 weeks ago. Took me a while but I now have about 500 album covers loaded up, but I did have a few bugs/questions :
1) If you press cover search without a browser open, it opens about 4-5 tabs in firefox, all but 1 are unknown pages, not a major bug but annoying
2) If your mp3 has an empty album tag, this is what is displayed when you press cover search
Music search results: we were unable to find exact matches for your search for "Home Alone ||--||6/1/2006 2:41:36 PM" .
Seems to be searching the exact date and time too
3) Is there any way to make the covers display larger? I use 2560x1024 and they seem quite small.
4) Anyway to make it close when the player of your choice closes also?
Other than those I can't think of anything else right now. Good work, I really do enjoy this program, it gets tons of compliments.

in CD Art Display RC4 Build 150,
right click the cd cover -> control panel -> player selection -> interaction -> check the box "Exit when player is ended"

1) CAD makes just one request to open the default browser. Maybe it's a FireFox issue...
2) That's strange... :?
3) a cover like that will make CAD slower, unless you have a powerful PC... Go to Control Panel>Case and cover and adjust the Zoom.

Zoom worked perfectly, thanks. What I meant by cover size was that I used the desktop resolution of 2560x1024, not the cover size
I wanted my covers to be about 250x250, it seems big enough. Plus all my covers are HQ
