View Full Version : Cover naming format: artist - title.jpg

Hello!

I have multiple covers named "artist - title.jpg" from another Winamp plugin matching the mp3 filename (artist - title.mp3). Is it possible to show these covers in CD Art Display? I only found the option "artist - album.jpg"...

I assume the Winamp API gives the possibility to read the filename of the current song. Would it be hard to implement this to the read cover section?

If it's the only image file in the album folder it should read it if you select 'Any Image' from 'Options' -> 'Read Cover' menu.

Works for me :)

Jorell, you are right. But I have ONE folder for all covers and the mp3s in several different folders. :(

Only one last thing: It would be great to have an additional choice of loading "album.jpg"...

You can use "Alternative cover" in order to show "album.jpg" pattern.

Sorry if I'm wrong, but I think "Alternative cover" only works if cover and mp3 are in the same folder... :?

Yes you're right! But what's the point to use "album.jpg" if it's not in the song's folder?

I have a big "best of mp3" folder and I want to use only one "album.jpg" for several tracks from a compilation cd, like a soundtrack. At the moment I have to search again and again for each track from the album... :(

My former cover plugin (Cover & TAG from J. Richter) has the following search order:

1 current path (any *.jpg)
2 additional path
2.1 "artist - title.jpg"
2.2 "album.jpg"

With this procedure you are even able to show cd single covers. :)
