Skins won't load

i dont know what im doing wrong but none of these i download work for me..i download them/extract and put it in the skin folder while the program is closed..open it and try the skin and nothing..i got the latest build..tried all the builds and none work cept for the default skin

If "Default" skin is working and you have the last build installed (and also the last "Default" skin that comes with the same zip) then you're probably doing something wrong while extracting a new skin.

Let's make a test:

When you open "Default" skin subfolder you see something like this: case.png, nocover.png, "Toolbar" subfolder, "Rating" subfolder and so on... Right?

Now try to open another skin folder e.g. "Glass Tunes" (that I think you downloaded since you posted there too). What do you see? Can you see the same (or some) of the files like in Default skin?

...and welcome to the forum. :)

it is important that you see skin specific folders (e.g. rating, toolbar or progressbar) if you open a skinfolder.
all the above subfolders are optional.
definitely included in a skinfolder is the skin.ini
so, if you unzip and copy/paste a newly downloaded skin, be aware that it's something like this:
...programs\CD Art Display\Skins\xxx
(xxx = folder of the new skin with a skin.ini included as mentioned above)

okay the thing is..i had rc6 installed on my comp..thats the only version that i could download because a lot of the links led me to betanews..that rc6 is the only one with an installer..all the other builds i guess i copy the exe and all dat into the program files/cd art cover folder and override it with the newest build..with the newer or newest builds..the default skin doesnt work for me..

In resume:

1. download and install CAD Preview 2 Build 3 (that comes with an installer):

2. before starting CAD download and copy the last CAD build here:
http://www.zshare.net/download/3075434eecb9bb/

3. Note that you HAVE TO copy the new "Default" skin that comes with the zip in item 2 into CAD Skins subfolder (replacing the old Default skin).

4. Now you can try CAD again.
