I can't find a way to display the cover art for my multiple disc albums. My directory structure is as follows

Artist - Album/
...CD1/
...CD2/
...Artist - Album.jpg

The audio files are in the CD1 and CD2 directories. From what I understand the program will look only in the directory where the audio files are located, or you can specify one master album art directory via the "covers folder" option. Can you specify a relative path so that it searches one directory level up from the audio files? If so, what is the syntax. Or is there another solution I'm missing, other than changing my directory and file structure?

Thanks.

::::Edited:

Ok. I've added a special tag: %Song's up folder%

I'm sure I don't have to explain it... :)

This should work for you:

%Song's up folder\%%artist% - %album%.jpg

Works great, thank you very much! :D

I found one little problem:
I noticed that the cover is not refreshed when the album title stays the same, even if the artist changes. This is bad in the rare case if there are titles from different artists with same album names in series...

Mine refuses to display cover art now, no matter how I set the directory structure. It will download them temporarily it looks like if I leave the download option ticked, if I untick it, it shows nothing

Also it messed up my skin and put my progress bar and stars at the top of the cover instead of the bottom where I had it

Edit : Hmm it seems like its not searching for anything, it doesnt even read the id3v2 tag looking for anything, even putting in %artist% - %album% doesnt work

The pattern should have a structure in most of the cases:

1) folder
2) pattern itself
3) extension

See below:

%Song's folder\%%artist% - %album%.jpg

1. %Song's folder\% = folder (the song one)
2. %artist% - %album% = pattern itself
3. .jpg = extension

You can only use %ID3v2 tag% and %Any image% alone.

And remember to set the properly file pattern in "Download" section too. The default one is to save as folder.jpg.

Still not showing for some reason. All my covers are in the CD Art Display Covers directory, all my songs are on another drive. It doesn't even look like its searching for it anymore, it just sits on the empty image and thats that. Even when I turn on download covers, it downloads the right cover, but I cannot figure out where its saving to

Edit : Now it saves my covers to my music folder, it no longer lets me use the covers folder

Edit #2 : Blah got it fixed. Had to use this string

C:\Program Files\CD Art Display\Covers\%artist% - %album%.jpg

:P

Now, how about why the skin format has changed

Edit : It changed all my default pad settings for my skin, had to do them by hand again, ah well. Works perfect now

The C:\Program Files\CD Art Display\Covers\ path should be your Cover's folder that you can set right below the list. Once set the %Cover's folder% tag should work properly.

Next official release the skin settings will be updated since I had to change (some weeks ago) the way progress bar and fancy rating calculate their top position.

Yeah I had it set but it doesn't work, thats why I had to set it like I did :?

Fast releases today I see

Works great though, even with the new update. Hope more people become aware of this program, I found it through a deviantart page

By the way, thank you for all your great suggestions (and even an interface sample) regarding "Read cover" feature!

FuNiOnZ

I've made one test and it worked. However, as soon as possible I'll test it more.

Nice screenshot! Nice font settings! :)
