hi there!
since 'body' progressbar and 'mask' images for textline fadeout overlays are not supported in pre-CAD-1.1 releases, i strongly recommend to use this skin in CAD 1.1 or above ONLY.

Atomix (0.50MB) (http://www.zshare.net/download/36673713fb7eef/)
Atomix-2.0 (1.2MB) (http://www.cdartdisplay.com/index.php?categoryid=2&p13_sectionid=3&p13_fileid=66) >>> ready to use in CAD2.0
please close CAD and install the fonts included in the zip first before you apply Atomix.
(upd 15Sep2007)
- added an effect to paused state.
(upd 13Nov2007)
- all styles posted in this topic added (a total of 12 styles now)
- glowing mouseover effects for ratings and toolbar in fadelike transitions added
- changed skin structure so it is ready for CAD2.0
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i initially created the default style (3rd one in the screenshot) soon to realize that i'm not quite satisfied with that much elements placed above the cover area.
so i made another style.
and another....
and then another. :D
there are a lot of combinations possible, so if you'd like the elements to be in a different order, please don't hesitate to ask and i'll add another style.
i've already added another style (not seen in the screenshot) which in the end became my favourite one.
the screenshot was finished before i made this last addition that's why it reads 4+1 styles. :)
i'd like to thank swe for paying close attention on some of the graphics.
and especially i'd like to thank the all being master of space, time and dimension Carlos for his great help in the process of creating some amazing 'mask' images and for all the wonderful features added to CAD to give this skin a real cool functionality.
and of course i'd like to thank the greedy Operator who never gave up to get a pre-release copy of Atomix. ;D
...there's a small limitation in the skin, though.
the font is not good friend with letters like 'é', 'è' or other non-latin letters.
well these letters would be displayed, but apparently not by using the skin font.
anyway...
...i hope you like my Atomix and that you have fun with it.
thx for your attention!
:D

As I wrote you before OtisBee, code a new CAD graphic procedure is always great because you not only refine the feature(s) but use it(them) in a great way.
This skin is a nice example of what I'm talking about.
You used the new "Body" progress bar (which will make skinners life real easier), new smooth text scrolling and new "mask" image for text and you created a really nice looking and modern skin with awesome styles.
In addition, this skin is very usefull for me since I don't have a big screen and I can let CAD always visible. Cool! ;D
It seems that you'll never stop creating such amazing skins! :)
My vote for this skin is 5/5!
Thank you again man!!

That's a really wonderful skin and a great example for the new CAD features. There's only one thing I don't like:
With every new skin, you put the skinning-ladder a bit higher. And how could anyone here beat this? ;)
Great skin, my friend! :)

thank you all for your nice feedback!
i'm glad you like Atomix!
@ Operator:
for now the skin has a rating of 4 stars.
...which by the way is the exact rating like your ShadowCAD.
so, i can't quite follow your point.
;)
thanks again!!

@ Zento:
correct me if i'm wrong, but i think this is the first time you comment on one of my skins inside a release topic.
so i really really appreciate that.
;D
@ Carlos:
your volumebar idea wasn't bad either. ;)

i wonder how CAD have seen out today without you and your skin and good ideas..
i think this is related to each and every one of us.
without encouraging comments like yours i might have stopped creating skins even months ago.
more than that, every single bug report is important to improve CAD.
...and opinions too.
no matter if its of major or minor interest, if we stay silent the CAD development would come to a standstill.
this is one off your best skin so far!!
that's better than i was expecting.
thank you very very much, swe!!
:D :D :D
(edit) oops... i forgot to mention that i like your screenshot a lot. THX! ;)

Since I'm not a designer it was always hard to develop a graphic feature without anyone using and testing it.
OtisBee came in the middle of RC6 and gave me all feedback necessary (including skins) to create a better graphic engine for CAD that can be useful for designers.
So without OtisBee CAD would be more like RC6. :)

That's so true.
Without a feedback (any kind at all) we slowly stop making a program or skins: why make if anyone cares about?

So without OtisBee CAD would be more like RC6.
those were the days, my friend
we thought they'd never end...
(wasn't there a song by Engelbert Humperdinck using the exact same lines?)
;D
in the end i think it's all just a matter of 'give & take'.
i've said it a couple of times and i can only repeat myself...
...i'm very glad to be part of the process!!
:D

yesterday i found another request in my inbox.
it was swe, asking me if it would be possible to make an orange version of the Atomix' Fusion style.
so i did a few changes here and there to create a style which finally looks quite sweltering to me. :D
http://i10.tinypic.com/4ou8juf.png
Fusion(sweltering) (0.16MB) (http://www.zshare.net/download/37108789cd0439/)

thanks again for all your feedback!
...and swe, i hope you like the sweltering Fusion style!!
