...by Avast! 4.7.844 (Virus Database 0625-3).
Prolly a false positive but here's the screenshot:

The file plugin_setup.exe was 'apparently' also infected.

note: I forgot to mention I was using CAD (build 246)

I'm running NOD32 and all is fine.

If you want, report the false positive to AVAST support so they can fix that.

I'm not sure if a trojan can infect a clean exe like CAD.

Anyway, you can try the last build and delete your current one.

ah I'm sure it's a false positive hehe :)

I'm only using Avast! cause there's not a whole lot of antivirus Vista compatible atm

I tried with last build and it does the same thing so I just put it in the exclusions.

By the way, how's CAD on Vista?

Does the system tray icon (default one not the cover) work at least?

same as before :)

The default CAD icon shows in system tray but the 'cover as icon' doesn't work (it puts a blank on the bar and there's no cover). Also the fade effect needs to be disabled or otherwise you won't be able to target the skin/window, you still can see it but when you click on it, it selects what's behind the picture...

and both .dll in the winamp plugin directory needs to be renamed or CAD won't launch at all

Here's the AVAST support answer to my email:

"Hello,
thanks for your email. This false alarm was repaired 22.06.2006.
Regards Cernik"

:)

Is Avast really as full of false positives as it seems?
