i dont know if its been requested before, but is it possible to make cad compatible with windows media player?
im guessing theres an issue on gettin the id tag info from wmp or else it would already be supported..
i use foobar2000, but i just got an iriver clix, and i have to use wmp11 to transfer the files if i want album art support on the player, and im trying to start using wmp11, i just know that i wont use it if i cant use cad with it..
thanks

I'd like to add WMP11 support. However I didn't find a way to get at least the current song's path playing by WMP11 using Visual Basic 6. I even can't find nothing about it on the internet. Nothing.
As soon as I find a way I'll surely add support for WMP11.

i figured that was the reason, maybe microsoft will give more information on wmp11 when it is eventually released, but i doubt it
thanks for the quick response

It won't help... Unless the author gives me the VB6 source code... But it's a shareware. So...
Thank you anyway!

i did a little more searching and found
http://www.wmplugins.com/developers.aspx
it has a SDK for wmp9, but maybe its the same for wmp10 and 11?
not sure if this is what you were looking for...

if it's the same, then it would work with WMP11 now wouldn't it?

I did a little searching and apparently this "Windows SDK" includes a WMP 11 Beta SDK bundled. you might want to check it out ;)

that's for WinFX(which won't release untill 2007 or maybe 2008), not WMP11. WinFX has absolutely nothing to do with WMP11 :)

on this site:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/playerforpros.mspx
it says:
"Get the Windows Media Player SDK
The beta version of the Windows Media Player 11 SDK is now available at the MSDN Web site. The complete SDK is available as part of the Windows SDK"
and Windows SDK is an hyperlink to:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=13f8e273-f5ea-4b7b-b022-97755838db94&DisplayLang=en
can it be said more clearly than this ?

The SDK makes references to WMP11.
However it was written aiming Microsoft Visual C++.
When I've installed iTunes I got an iTunes type library to work with Visual Basic 6. WMP11 does not provide such functionality. :(
For now I can't do nothing about it but as soon as a solution is found I'll add support for WMP11.
