Ok, thats what happens:
Winamp 5.24,
CAD RC4, b507
I have my playlist filled, I play first track in playlist, now without stopping current song I clear list and I add some other files, so the old music file is played. The winamp tells, that the old file is still playing (gives tittle etc), but CAD displays a new title/cover anyway.
I think this is a Winamp thought (or the way CAD checks actual music file), but I think it can be worth checking anyway.
This isn't such a bat thing afterall, I love and use CAD all the time, thanks.

A similar thing happens to me. When I'm adding or removing files from the playlist, the cover changes randomly every second. When I'm finished, it goes back to the cover of the song that's currently playing again. Every once in a while it stops on a different song. It's kind of like spinning a roulette wheel.

You're right.
My tests results: if you remove the current song from the playlist Winamp will pass the path of the previous song in the playlist. Winamp is playing one song but it passes the path of another one (it does not make sense at all). :?
If Winamp gives CAD the wrong path there's nothing I can do about it.
The better way to avoid the issue is NOT remove the current song from the playlist.

Yeah, this is known Winamp misbehaviour. I don't know why they haven't fixed it. :?

Right Carlos, it'll definately do it if I remove the currently playing song from the playlist. That's not what I'm talking about. Any modification of the playlist causes this. It may be because the currently playing song changes position when files are added/removed from the playlist. Say the currently playing song is #47. If I remove 3 files from the top, the currently playing song bumps up 3 positions to #44. When this happens CAD shows the cover briefly for the files that move through the previous position. So this is Winamp's fault? Well, 5.25 final should be out soon. I guess we'll see if anything changes then.

Yes it's a Winamp issue.
But I made a workaround. Since the path check will be useful for just some users due their way of organize songs, I added an option to check the path too. So now if you need the path check then you have to set it.
"Control Panel>Options>Troubleshooting>Check song title and path too"
The other Troubleshooting option ("Refresh cover after track change") was also made aiming some users and the way they organize songs too.
