hi there!

in the process of creating a new skin i often come to a point where i want to add more and more things to a skin.
that's when i remind myself to an often quoted motto.
as a matter of fact it even became part of my philosophy.

Less Is More

my new skin is supposed to be a tribute to this motto.

L.I.MO (0.70MB) <-- CAD1.0 ready
L.I.MO1.1 (1.60MB) <-- CAD1.1 ready (with back-cover support)
L.I.MO2.0 (3.54MB) <-- CAD2.0 ready (------------"-----------)

__________________________________________________ ________________________________________________

as always: please close CAD and install the fonts attached to the zip before you apply the skin!!

(upd 04Oct2007)
  • 6 (3 regular + 3 180°) backcover supporting styles added. (please check your cover search patterns in both Front- and Back Cover settings in Options)
  • mouseover effect for squared ratings added.
  • textline transitions tweaked

(upd 25Dec2007)
  • basic skin update for CAD2.0
  • a total of 34 styles now (8 main styles with their according 4 substyles +1 more style featuring 2 substyles)
  • one of the new styles features a completely new and unique rating idea

i hope you like my L.I.MO.
have fun!

....OtisBee

Yes! That's the word I was looking for... stylish!

Clear style has a case that looks awesome in most of the wallpapers. Love it!

The skin transition is a great touch!

5/5 ;D

i agree that simple is stylish.
that's why i still like and use the old RC6 skins a lot.

the clear style is also my favourite although it's hard to decide.
i've thought about that kind of transition for a long time (since Celluloid) and always wanted to do a skin with it.
i'm glad it worked out and that you like it.
thx Carlos!
;D

btw...
...i've updated the skin's screenshot, so you might want to check out the initial post.

thx again!

Nice skin-pack, [OtisBee] . The transition effect is really beautiful, reminds me of old "Star-Wars" movies .

And thanks for adding 180°-versions by default, my friend.

Hey there.

I just have text when using this style WITH BACK. If it's just default, there is no font.

Thanks.

hi netswipe,

...and welcome to the forum!!

all styles not using the back cover are configured to load with case and cover only.
there's a so called hotspot at the upper cover area that -once clicked- would bring up all elements (and text).
you can see the mouse cursor changing imediately into the hand cursor as soon as you enter the hotspot area.

nevertheless this is an option which can easily be switched off in Skin Editor >> Edit >> Appearance >> Start with elements/panel on.
note that this is a per skin (style) setting, so you would have to configure that for each L.I.MO style.

i hope that this was helpful.

have fun!
